Total mind blow

by Alayna

It was the third time I had ever attempted to smoke salvia divinorum, and it was by far one of the most intense experiences I can honestly say I've ever had.

I was sitting in the basement of a friend during his birthday party, surrounded by plenty of people who were far too drunk to function. After the considerable amount of marijuana wore off of me from earlier that night, I was feeling quite bored and, in comparison to the drunks around me, quite sober. I then decided to finish up the small vial of 10x salvia I had on my person, since it appeared I would have the proper time and quiet area to do so. I invited a couple of friends to sit with me in the corner and proceeded to pack a bowl. The first bowl circled the small group without much events, then a second time with the same lack of experience. I was sure to hold the smoke in my lungs until the pipe reached back to me, so as not to waste any.

It was upon the third inhalation that I was suddenly thrust away from my body, and burst through a proverbial wall of glass.

The overwhelming sensation of fog sat behind my eyes, my brain seemed to be seperate from my skull, and my entire being was floating without a shell. I looked down below me and was suddenly sucked into another vision. I was inside of a giant cherrywood chest, and I could see the people around me, the people I had sat down with earlier. They were all watching me as I began to spin. My legs were crossed and I was being lifted into the air.

I was suddenly sucked away from this vision once more, and forced to watch from above as the large chest opened its lid and I saw the entire inside of it covered with green felt. The group I had been sitting with were all cross legged and floating, spinning within the box. The box itself was floating in a pure bright sky and spinning in the opposite direction of the few beigns inside of it, very very slowly.

I could see myself in another world, in the basement, at the same time that I saw this incident in the sky.

I had fallen over backwards and was laughing hysterically. It was then that I realized I was in my body, experiencing this, that I was in fact laughing, though the vision of myself in the sky was not moving its lips.

I vaguely remember returning to one being. But the next thing I knew I was "waking up". I realized that I had in fact fallen over backwards at the beginning of the trip, and that the corner of a plastic dollhouse had been jabbing into my spine the entire time. Though I hadn't felt a thing outside of the visions.

I don't know whether my eyes were closed or open the entire time, but it was indeed the one of the most intense experiences of my life, and I will never forget the feeling of merging with the sky.
